Alisa Pyszka joins the LCG team as Senior Associate. Within this role, Alisa will manage client projects in the firm’s core service areas of downtown revitalization, real estate strategies, and economic development.
Asked what drew her to Leland Consulting Group, Alisa had this to say: “One of the most significant factors in helping businesses attract talent is a quality place, which typically stems from a vibrant downtown with amenities. Helping communities solve and address this need for a quality place is what Leland Consulting Group does best and I am thrilled to be able to incorporate traditional economic development experience with place making.”
Alisa brings more than 16 years of experience in economic development to LCG. She most recently served as the VP of Recruitment for Greater Portland Inc, a regional nonprofit economic development organization that provides support and services to companies seeking to relocate or expand in the greater Portland area. In this role, Alisa developed strategic insights regarding the most important attributes a community and region must have to attract business, as well as how to successfully message these attributes to decision makers. Pyszka’s prior experience also includes serving as Economic Development Division Manager for the City of Vancouver, further deepening her understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing municipalities interested in economic and community development.
Alisa is also active in the community, channeling her love for history and place by serving on the Board of Directors for the Confluence Project, a nonprofit focused on connecting people to place through unprecedented interpretive artwork by artist Maya Lin at six sites along the Columbia River basin.
