Chris Zahas moderated and spoke on a panel discussion titled Rethinking Corridors for Economic Development at the October 2013 Western Planner / Nevada Chapter APA conference in Lake Tahoe.
His presentation highlights current retail, housing, and demographic trends and how revitalization of urban corridors can tap into these trends to support economic development. As housing, lifestyle and generational preferences change, communities have an opportunity to revitalize often blighted corridors through new housing, employment, and community uses that draw investment back into city centers.
