If you’ve ever self-assembled furniture or home electronics, you know the value of a good instruction manual—and that it’s not always easy to get from concept to completion.
That’s why we’re strong believers in implementation strategies. An implementation strategy or action plan lays out the recommended actions that various stakeholders (city and other public agencies, nonprofits, and others) should take in order to realize the plan, along with the priority level, timing, responsible partner, estimated cost, and other key information about each action.
At their best, implementation strategies are straightforward checklists that our clients can turn to for five or more years to guide public investments and establish work plans. They provide momentum for city councils and other groups charged with implementing a plan and enable clients to move from planning to doing.
