Leland Consulting Group prepared an evaluation of development opportunities for the Colfax corridor in Denver. This work included detailed market research to support an FTA Alternatives Analysis of alignments and travel modes (modern streetcar, BRT, and enhanced bus), including analysis of employment, demographic, and real estate data and mapping key findings using GIS.
As part of this effort, Leland Consulting Group developed an innovative analysis of the impact of transit-oriented development throughout Denver over the past 10 years, with a comparison of light rail station areas to non-light rail station areas in order to help quantify the potential value that a major transit investment adds to the community. The work will help narrow a range of alternative alignments and modes based in part on their ability to maximize the economic development and increase the leverage of private investment.
