Brian Vanneman delivers the information clients need to make critical project decisions by conducting financial and market analysis, recommending site programs and development strategies, and creating GIS maps and information graphics.  He holds degrees in urban planning, real estate development, and history, and is a keen observer of cities and urban development in the United State and abroad.

Brian’s recent projects include recommending development strategies for urban and suburban mixed use projects, funding analyses for new urban rail lines and other public infrastructure, and approaches to site-specific and district-wide downtown revitalization efforts.

His past experience includes work at the Transit Oriented Development Program at Metro, Portland’s regional government, which received a National Planning Award for Best Practice from the American Planning Association in 2008.  He has also worked for the Portland Institute for Metropolitan Studies, Urbanists International, an international urban planning collaborative, and Landor Associates, a global marketing and branding consultancy.

Through travels in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, he cultivated a passion for urban places and an appreciation for the people and attributes that make them special.. “This is an exciting time for American cities.
